Alright, I want to drop a breaking news for my hip-hop fans. I have been talking about scams and fraudsters all week and I hope this gist is not a fraud too. My friends in L.A ( seriously, I've got friends there) told me to tell you to tell your neighbour that Beyonce Knowles, 26, and Jay Z (Shawn Carter) 38, officially tied the knot last weekend.
It was reported that there was a canival like event last Friday at the rap mogul's Tribeca apartment. Delivery trucks and employed staff were running relays, dropping off silver candelabras and white flowers. A white tent was set up on the roof, and stars including Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, andGwyneth Paltrow were spotted arriving.
My colleagues in the media were camped outside the building representing me and the paparazzi was all out snapping and shouting.
According to the People and Us Weekly magazine's web site, the couple married and threw a lavish but small party at the apartment Friday, citing unnamed sources who are friends with the pair. The Web sites reported their families attended the party.
Rumors circulated all week about the event after a report that the couple had taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.
The couple, who have apparently been dating for six years, have never publicly acknowledged they are together. have collaborated on the songs "03 Bonnie and Clyde" and "Crazy In Love."
