Last week I was in Abuja, I left Lagos on an early morning Virgin flight with Angela Basset, Yes... the same one who acted 'How Stella Got Her Groove Back,' that also acted 'Waiting To Exhale,' and 'What's Love got to do with it.' Yep, that same Basset was in Nigeria, in the same plane I was in and we had a chat.
I asked what she thought about Nigeria since she got here, she said it was hot but she expected it to be anyways. "It reminds me of Florida," she said. Angela wore a black hat with dark shades-all set for the weather, sitting by her side was the almighty Courtney B. Vance, her husband- very popular guy in case you didn't know. I was overwhelmed, though I still remaind calm, gasto form levels.
It was really cool meeting these people, last year I had dinner with Cuba Gooding Jnr. and Mo'Nique. That's why when a friend offered me a bank job recently I said, I'll think about it, though I have spent all my time thinking about the good times I spent with these lovely folks. journalism is it babzy.
